Physicians as Public Health Leaders

Over the past decade, Twin Cities Medical Society (TCMS) has developed an innovative model that engages physicians as leaders in public health. This program has been a win-win for everyone involved. Physician benefit by learning new skills and taking on leadership roles outside of the clinic. The medical society benefits from non-dues revenue and an enhanced reputation. The community as a whole benefits through improved health. 

TCMS’s former CEO Sue Schettle and TCMS Medical Director, Dr. Pete Dehnel recently sat down to discuss how medical societies and physician can be leaders in this important work.
