Tobacco 21

In May of 2017, Edina became the first city in Minnesota to raise the tobacco sales age to 21. Since then, eleven Minnesota cities have also passed Tobacco 21 ordinances. However, all of Minnesota's youth deserve to be protected from the harms of tobacco. A bill was introduced during the 2017 legislative session to raise the tobacco sales age statewide, but has not yet been passed. We need your support to continue to pass Tobacco 21 in communities throughout Minnesota and at the state level. When you sign up for action alerts, the Physician Advocacy Network will contact you when there are opportunities to support this critical prevention policy.
